Recently, my husband and I attended the NY Prego Expo—and let me tell you, it was a lot to take in. There were countless vendors, endless pregnancy and baby products to explore, educational talks, giveaways, and massive crowds everywhere you turned.
But through all the excitement (and a little bit of chaos), a few vendors and products truly stood out from the rest. As a first-time mom, I was especially focused on finding products that felt practical, safe, and actually worth the investment.
So after walking the expo floor, asking questions, testing products, and collecting far too many pamphlets, here are the best pregnancy and baby products I discovered at the NY Prego Expo.
A little note: I only share products I genuinely love and would personally recommend to a friend. I’ve linked a few throughout this post to make things easier for you 🤍 Some of these may be affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them—at no extra cost to you. Thank you for supporting Steph by Steph and allowing me to continue creating helpful content for moms and moms-to-be!
Food-Related Pregnancy And Baby Products

I’ll be the first to admit—when I walked into this expo, the last thing I expected to be drawn to was food-related pregnancy and baby products. After all, this is my first baby, and we are still quite a ways away from the world of solid foods.
But despite that, I found myself completely captivated by these two companies and what they had to offer.
Bébé Foodie

This was easily one of the most interesting pregnancy and baby products I came across at the expo.
If you are unfamiliar, Bébé Foodie is a company designed to help parents navigate the often overwhelming world of introducing and maintaining solid foods for their babies.
The founder, Lucie, is a certified nutritionist and mother of two. Originally from France and now based in the U.S., she created Bébé Foodie to merge “French culinary finesse with American practicality.” Her goal is to help parents find the right balance for their baby while prioritizing proper nutrition along the way.
What it does:
Bébé Foodie centers around an app designed to take the guesswork out of starting solids.
Instead of constantly Googling what foods to introduce and when, the app provides expert-backed guidance so parents can spend less time stressing and more time actually enjoying mealtime with their little ones.
Inside the app, you’ll find:
Guidance on what foods to introduce at each stage
A wide variety of healthy recipes
Food and allergen tracking tools
What really stood out to me was the level of expertise behind the platform. The app includes input from professionals such as:
A Pediatric Registered Dietitian
A Feeding Therapist
A Speech Language Pathologist & Lactation Counselor
A Pediatric Allergist & Immunologist
…just to name a few.
My Experience:
The app felt incredibly easy to navigate, and more importantly, it made starting solids feel exciting instead of stressful.
As a soon-to-be parent, that alone was huge for me.
I also really appreciated the focus on nutrition. As someone who values what goes into my body (and my baby’s), it was comforting to know there is a resource out there that takes that just as seriously.
What I Loved:
Healthy and practical approach
Backed by real experts
Clean, user-friendly design
What Needs Work:
Honestly, I did not see any major drawbacks.
I have plenty of apps on my phone that I download with good intentions and never end up using—but this genuinely felt like one I would come back to consistently.
Cost:
Premium Membership: Approximately $15/month or $90/a year
Did I Purchase This?
Unfortunately, I did not sign up at the expo—but only because I still have some time before my baby is ready for solids.
That said, I did sign up for their free resources and fully plan to revisit the app once my baby is closer to six months old.

The Nourishing Group

This Australian-based company first caught my eye because of its adorable packaging. It was colorful, playful, and filled with friendly food illustrations—definitely the kind of display that makes you stop and take a second look.
But once I learned what the company actually offered, I was even more intrigued.
What it does:
Similar to the first product, The Nourishing Group focuses on baby nutrition. However, what really sets them apart is their focus on safe allergen introduction.
With food allergies seemingly on the rise, this immediately stood out to me.
Their products are designed to help parents introduce common allergens to their babies in a safe and controlled way. They offer powders for many of the top allergens—like prawn, fish, and tree nuts—that can easily be mixed into foods your baby already eats.
According to their website:
“Each allergen is provided in a powdered format, making it easy to mix into foods your baby already enjoys while helping minimize choking risks.”
Their allergen introduction kit includes 14 of the most common allergens, allowing parents to introduce them one at a time while monitoring their baby's response along the way.
Why it stood out to me:
I thought this was such a creative and practical way to tackle something that can feel really intimidating for parents.
The founder is not only a mom, but also a pediatric dietitian and nutritionist, which immediately added another layer of trust for me.
I also appreciated their focus on clean ingredients and overall nutrition. It felt like a thoughtful solution to something that many parents feel anxious about.
As a first-time mom, I personally loved the idea of having a more structured and intentional way to approach allergen introduction rather than feeling like I had to figure it all out alone.
What I Loved:
Clean, high-quality ingredients
Backed by expert knowledge
Unique and practical concept
Helps reduce stress around allergen introduction
Adorable, eye-catching packaging
What Needs Work:
Honestly, I didn’t see any major drawbacks.
This is one of those products I fully plan to purchase when the time comes.
Cost:
Individual packs range from $15 to $36 USD
The Allergen Pack runs around $66 USD
On Amazon, you can purchase the Early Allergen Introduction Pack for $99 USD
Did I Purchase This?
Unfortunately, I didn’t purchase this at the expo—but only because I still have some time before my baby is ready for solids.
That said, this is absolutely something I plan to buy when the time comes, and I would love to share an updated review once I’ve used it.

Holistic/Clean Pregnancy And Baby Products

As someone who considers myself a relatively “crunchy” person, I cannot tell you how excited I was to discover so many holistic pregnancy and baby products at this expo.
I care deeply about what I put in and on my body, and I plan to carry that same level of intention into the products I use for my baby. That said, finding products with truly clean ingredients can sometimes feel overwhelming—especially with so many options and marketing claims out there.
This expo introduced me to brands I likely would have never discovered otherwise—brands that aligned so naturally with my values surrounding wellness, intentional living, and ingredient transparency.
Honestly, these ended up being some of the highlights of the entire event for me.
La Petite Crème

This vendor caught my eye right away because of their bold, warm yellow branding—it was impossible to miss. But what really pulled me in was their promise of clean ingredients.
As soon as I approached the booth, a woman greeted me and said:
“You know, the French don’t use baby wipes?”
I had never heard that before, so of course I was immediately curious.
If they don’t use wipes, how are they cleaning their babies? Is it safer? Is it better for their skin?
I needed answers.
What It Does
La Petite Crème is a diapering product designed to replace wipes, diaper cream, and ointment all in one.
Instead of using traditional wipes (which often contain water and added ingredients that can irritate the skin), this cream is applied and then gently wiped away with a cotton cloth.
According to their website, it is actually the water in baby wipes that can contribute to irritation and diaper rash. Their formula is designed to leave a protective layer on your baby’s skin, offering continuous protection.
Ingredients
One of the biggest things that stood out to me was how simple and clean the ingredient list is–just six ingredients:
Organic olive oil
Organic beeswax
Water
Organic glycerin
Vitamin E
Limestone
It is also USDA Organic and Environmental Working Group Verified, which is a huge plus for me.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Environmental Working Group (EWG), they are a nonprofit organization focused on helping consumers find safer, cleaner products. Their verification means a product meets strict standards for health and transparency.
As someone who prioritizes clean products, that immediately gave me an extra level of trust.
Here is their promise on the official Environmental Working Group (EWG) website.
"When a product is EWG Verified®, it means it meets EWG's strict, scientific standards for transparency and health. Our team of toxicologists, chemists and epidemiologists scrutinizes every product, empowering you to purchase safer products."
My Experience
Even with all of that, I was still a little skeptical—because at the end of the day, it has to work.
Luckily, they offered a live demonstration.
One of the booth attendants applied the cream directly to my hand. It felt smooth, moisturizing, and honestly really nice on the skin.
Then she used a disposable cotton cloth to gently wipe it away, mimicking how it would be used during a diaper change.
To my surprise, everything came off cleanly. My hand felt fresh, moisturized, and not sticky at all. It genuinely felt like using a wipe—but better.
That was the moment I really understood the appeal.
What I Loved
Clean, high-quality ingredients
EWG Verified (which can be hard to find!)
Multi-purpose (replaces wipes, creams, and ointments)
Feels great and easy to use
What Could Be Better
Honestly, I didn’t see many drawbacks.
The only thing I could think of is that traditional wipes may be slightly cheaper upfront—but in my opinion, you are paying for higher-quality ingredients, which I personally value.
Cost
Prices vary depending on what product you choose and the quantity of it:
Diaper lotion: $8.99 – $42.99 USD
Diaper balm: $15.99 – $28.99 USD
Bundles vary depending on what is included
Did I Purchase This?
Yes—I actually did purchase this product at the expo.
After learning about the ingredients and seeing it in action, I felt confident it was something I wanted to use.
I ended up purchasing the French Diapering Starter Pack for $48.13. Note that that was the price at the expo. The pack included:
An 8 fl oz pump bottle of diaper lotion
An organic diaper balm
A stack of cotton pads
Now I’m just waiting for my changing table to arrive so I can have everything set up and ready for baby girl.

Cool-E Bath Powder

This was another vendor that immediately caught my attention because of the value they placed on holistic and clean products.
Bath time can already feel overwhelming for new parents—from getting your baby comfortable with the routine to finding products gentle enough for sensitive skin. And honestly, many bath and body products today contain long ingredient lists that can be difficult to navigate, especially as a first-time parent trying to make intentional choices.
That’s exactly why Cool-E Bath Powder stood out to me.
What It Does
Cool-E Bath Powder is designed to help make bath time gentler and less stressful for both parents and babies.
Right on their website, the founders share that the company was created because of their own personal struggles with bath time.
"Founded by parents, for parents."
Exhausted with reading ingredient labels and finding that nothing was as clean or gentle as it claimed to be, these parents decided to make the solution themselves. And thus, Cool-E Bath Powder was formed.
Not only did I love their story, but meeting the couple in person honestly made the experience even better. They were incredibly kind, genuine, and clearly passionate about what they created, which immediately drew me in.
Ingredients
As is the case with most holistic pregnancy and baby products, this product has very few ingredients. This bath powder is free of fragrances and essential oils. It only contains:
Sodium Bicarbonate
Aveno Sative
Maize starch
That is it! Three simple, clean ingredients to help take care of those sensitive, moist prone areas.
My Experience
After meeting the couple and hearing more about their story, I was genuinely captivated by the brand.
I also loved how simple and intentional the product felt. There was something really refreshing about seeing a company focus on minimal ingredients without overcomplicating things.
Overall, my experience with the brand was incredibly positive.
What I Loved
Clean, minimal ingredients
Relatable founder story
Simple and easy-to-use product
Fragrance-free and gentle approach
What Could Be Better
At the moment, I don’t have much feedback on what could be improved about the actual product itself.
Since my baby hasn’t arrived yet, I obviously haven’t had the opportunity to fully test its long-term effectiveness—but once I do, I would absolutely love to come back and update this review.
The only possible consideration I had was product size. If I understood correctly, the larger bag may only provide three baths depending on usage, though I would want to double-check that before saying for certain.
And honestly, my only real “complaint” had nothing to do with the company itself. Their booth happened to be located right next to the stage where presentations and talks were happening, so it was a little harder to fully focus on all the information they were sharing.
But again, that was entirely related to the expo setup—not the brand or product..
Cost
One bag of the Cool- E bath powder is $19.99. USD
One bag holds 25 ounces.
Did I Purchase This?
Yes—I did end up purchasing a bag of the bath powder.
I personally know several moms whose little ones struggle with eczema and other skin sensitivities, so I wanted to be proactive when it came to the products I bring into our home.
While obviously every baby is different, I felt really good about choosing a product with such simple and gentle ingredients to have on hand ahead of time.

Zoey's Naturals

Yet again another holistic vendor caught my eye at the NY Prego Expo. Are you surprised?
Honestly when it comes to pregnancy and baby products, I naturally find myself drawn toward brands that prioritize cleaner, more intentional ingredients. There are so many things in this world we cannot control—but the products we bring into our homes and use around our children are one area where we can make more mindful choices.
When I first noticed this vendor, it was actually their signage and messaging that immediately pulled me in. Phrases like:
Phthalate-free
Paraben-free
Sulfate-free
Hypoallergenic
…I instantly thought:
“Okay, these are definitely my kind of people.”
But what impressed me even more was just how extensive their product line was.
This company offers everything from sunscreen to bath products, and honestly, it felt like nearly everything I could possibly need for my baby was sitting right there in front of me—with ingredients I could feel good about.
What It Does:
This family-owned company also has a really sweet backstory.
Like many entrepreneurs, founders Kelsey and Danny saw a problem in their own lives and decided to create a solution.
After finally being blessed with the family they had always dreamed of, they became passionate about finding products that aligned with their values surrounding wellness and ingredient transparency.
One of their biggest struggles was finding products for their children made with ingredients they truly felt comfortable using.
According to their website, the couple eventually enlisted the help of a family member:
"Zoey’s Papa, Charley, who is an innovative pioneer in the skincare industry, has been working with natural products for more than 30 years. Most of his products can only be found at the world’s finest resorts."
They continue by sharing:
"So when we were unsatisfied with what was available for children, we then asked him to develop products for Zoey that had the same gentleness and effectiveness as Papa’s other lines."
And from there, Zoey’s Naturals was born.
Today, the company offers a wide variety of skin-friendly and family-focused products, including:
Ingredients:
For this section, I think it actually makes more sense to focus on what these products are formulated without, rather than listing every ingredient individually.
On their website, Zoey’s Naturals provides the ingredient list for each product separately, but their products all share the same core philosophy.
Their formulas are:
Sulfate-free
Paraben-free
Phthalate-free
Tear-free
Cruelty-free
Hypoallergenic
pH balanced
Free of phenoxyethanol
Free of synthetic fragrances
My Experience:
I honestly fell in love with this vendor the moment I saw their booth.
As a soon-to-be parent, I loved hearing directly from experienced parents about the solutions they created for common struggles. There was something incredibly refreshing about talking to people who clearly cared so deeply about the products they were making.
I also appreciated meeting others who valued cleaner and more holistic ingredients in the same way that I do.
If my memory serves me correctly, many of Zoey’s Naturals products are also EWG Verified. Additionally, several products are dermatologist- and pediatrician-approved, which I think can be incredibly reassuring for nervous or first-time parents.
What I Loved:
Clean and thoughtfully formulated ingredients
Large variety of products
Family-focused and relatable founder story
Gentle formulas designed with sensitive skin in mind
What Could Be Better:
One thing that disappointed me slightly was that the company was not actively selling products at the expo.
They had products available to view and offered generous samples, but nothing was available for direct purchase at the event itself.
While I completely understood the logistics behind that—especially since poor Danny was managing the booth on his own that day—it was still a little disappointing as a consumer because there were several products I genuinely wanted to buy on the spot.
That said, it definitely gave me plenty of ideas to add to my baby registry.
Cost:
Naturally, pricing varies depending on the specific product, but here are a few examples from items I was personally considering:
Fragrance-Free Head-to-Toe Wash: approximately $14 USD
Sweet Citrus Hair Conditioner: approximately $16 USD
Fragrance-Free Mineral Sunscreen for Kids: approximately $18 USD
Did I Purchase This Item?
No—but definitely not because I didn’t want to.
As I mentioned earlier, there were several products from Zoey’s Naturals that I fully intended to purchase, both for my baby and honestly for myself as well.
Unfortunately, products were not available for purchase during the expo, so instead I happily accepted the samples and added several items to my growing registry must-have list.

Baby Products

Okay, now we’re getting to the really fun part, right?
We covered starting solids and holistic essentials—now it’s time for the exciting stuff… the baby gear.
And let me tell you, one thing about a pregnancy expo is that there is absolutely no shortage of pregnancy and baby products.
I’m talking toys, play mats, nursery décor, baby carriers, strollers, bouncers—you name it, and I can almost guarantee it was somewhere on that expo floor.
But honestly, with that many products and vendors in one space, it can get overwhelming very quickly. It is also incredibly easy to miss some really amazing companies simply because by the end of the event, you are completely exhausted.
Nevertheless, I somehow managed to make it through all the exhibits, and these vendors truly stood out among the rest.
Crane Baby

I am absolutely obsessed with this company.
Honestly, I genuinely believe attending the NY Prego Expo was worth it just because it introduced me to Crane Baby.
I had never heard of them before, but now? Let me tell you—they have quickly become my go-to brand for all things nursery décor and baby essentials.
The cute yet luxurious feel initially drew me into their booth, but the quality of the materials is what truly kept me there. Overall, this brand felt like a total win-win for any expecting mama looking for products that are both beautiful and thoughtfully made.
What It Does:
Crane Baby focuses on baby essentials and nursery décor.
When I visited their booth, they had everything from bath towels and burp cloths to play mats, fitted sheets, and nursery décor pieces—seriously, it felt like they had a little bit of everything.
And the best part? Many of their products are made with organic cotton, which immediately caught my attention (hello holistic vibes once again).
One thing I especially appreciated was that I never felt like I had to sacrifice aesthetics in order to prioritize cleaner materials.
Honestly, in my experience, many “clean” or holistic baby brands tend to lean a little plain design-wise—but that was absolutely not the case here.
Everything at their booth and on their website was genuinely adorable.
At this point, I think my baby registry is about 90% Crane Baby products. I may have accidentally become their number one customer overnight- please sponsor me! (LOL)
My Experience:
By the time I made it to the row where this vendor was I had had enough.
My feet hurt, I was exhausted, and all I was thinking about was dinner.
But, the second I glanced over at their booth, I was hooked. They had the cutest bath towels and burp cloths on display, so I had to wander over to take a closer look.
The incredible expo sales they had definitely did not hurt either.
I also ended up purchasing the cutest safari mobile because it went perfectly with my safari-themed nursery. Honestly, if my husband had not stepped in, I probably would have bought half the booth.
Now I have everything else saved on my registry—from play mats and changing table covers to fitted crib sheets.
What I Loved:
Organic cotton materials
Beautiful, luxurious designs
Adorable themed collections
Wide variety of baby and nursery products
Products that felt both aesthetic and practical
What Could Be Better:
Honestly… I truly struggled to come up with anything for this section.
I genuinely loved everything I saw from this brand.
If I had to say anything at all, it would simply be that their products can become very tempting very quickly—especially if you love thoughtfully designed nursery décor as much as I do.
But in my opinion this brand is perfect, I want to work with them and be a brand ambassador for them — that is how much I adore their products.
Cost:
Pricing varies quite a bit depending on the specific product you choose.
For the most accurate pricing, I would definitely recommend browsing their website directly since they offer such a wide range of nursery and baby products.
Did I Purchase This Item?
YES.
I purchased several items from this vendor, and my poor husband had to carry around a very full baby-product bag for the rest of the expo afterward.
But honestly, even he was smiling because that’s how adorable these products were.
Check them out here.
Baby Björn

I will be completely honest with you, before this pregnancy expo I had never heard of half of these baby and pregnancy products — let alone the brands themselves.
As an only child and someone who was never really exposed to babies all that much, this entire world has been completely new to me.
However, after experiencing the Baby Björn brand in person, I finally understood how people could quickly become obsessed with baby gear.
While some of their products definitely fall on the higher end of the budget spectrum, the quality and functionality I saw firsthand honestly made it feel worth it.
What It Does:
Baby Björn is your one-stop-shop for all things baby gear.
I am talking baby carriers, bouncers, cribs, cradles, potty-training, the works.
This company clearly designs their products with both baby and parents in mind. Their products clearly seem to prioritize both baby comfort and parent convenience.
And beyond functionality, many of their products are also sleek and stylish—which I personally appreciated because who says becoming a parent means giving up aesthetic baby gear?
Apparently this is already a very well-known and trusted brand… just not by me until now.
My Experience:
Two specific things immediately drew my attention to this company at the expo.
First, they had one of their baby bouncers out on display, and several pregnant moms were actually sitting in it themselves.
Yes—full-grown adults were testing out the baby bouncer.
And honestly? Seeing that immediately gave me confidence in the sturdiness and quality of the product.
The second thing I loved was how interactive their booth experience was.
They had several employees helping both moms and dads try on different baby carriers, and they even used realistic weighted baby dolls during the demonstrations so you could get a true feel for how the carrier would function.
Honestly, it was one of the best demonstrations at the entire expo.
When we finally made it to the front of the line, we were able to choose from several different carrier styles and colors to test out.
I personally loved the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier Harmony, Cream, 3D Mesh, 3-in-1 Ergonomic Baby Carrier.
I thought the color was nice and neutral and it would go with everything. Additionally I thought it was comfortable for me and I felt like the mesh pattern offered more breathability for the baby.
I also loved that the worker assisting us was able to put the same carrier on both my husband and myself, showing that it is adaptable with ease.
What I Loved:
Variety of styles and color options
Comfortable and breathable material
Adjustable fit for both parents
Carrier suitable from newborn through toddlerhood
Hands-on demonstrations that built confidence in the product
What Could Be Better:
As was the case with several other vendors, BabyBjörn was not selling products directly at the expo.
While I completely understood the reasoning behind that—especially considering inventory and transportation logistics—it was still a little disappointing because this was absolutely something I would have purchased on the spot.
The other consideration, of course, is price.
Their products are definitely an investment piece, and while I personally think the quality helps justify the cost, I also understand that the price point may not fit every family’s budget.
That said, the pricing still was not enough to deter me from wanting the carrier.
Cost:
The BabyBjörn Baby Carrier Harmony, Cream, 3D Mesh, 3-in-1 Ergonomic Baby Carrier. that I loved is currently being sold for around $230 USD on Amazon.
On their website, the harmony is listed at $250. Different carriers are different prices. For example, the baby carrier mini is around $120 USD.
Did I Purchase This Item?
Unfortunately, I did not purchase this item at the expo—but only because the vendor was not selling inventory onsite.
Had they been selling the exact carrier I tried, there is a very good chance I would have walked away with it that day.
Personally, I think the investment makes sense considering:
the adjustability
the comfort
the quality
and the fact that it can be used from newborn through toddlerhood
To me, that kind of longevity helps justify the higher price point—especially if you plan to use it for multiple children over time.
Instead, I added it directly to my registry… and if nobody grabs it, there is a very high chance I will purchase it myself.
Happy Breathing Suction: Nasal Aspirator

This was one of the very first baby products and vendors that truly stood out to me at the event.
And honestly, it stood out for two major reasons.
First and foremost, they were offering live, hands-on demonstrations of the product.
I am an absolute sucker for a good demonstration.I think demonstrations immediately help highlight a product’s strengths while also building trust as a consumer. If I can physically handle something beforehand and see how it works in real time, I feel much more confident using it later on at home.
The second reason this product stood out to me was because, as a first-time mom with very little baby experience, I genuinely did not even know products like this existed.
But after watching the demonstration and hearing the explanation behind it, I quickly realized why a nasal aspirator is considered such an important baby item.
What It Does:
The nasal aspirator is a tool that is designed to help remove mucus from your child's nose. It helps soothe their nasal passages, eases congestion, and helps promote better breathing, eating and sleeping.
It may not initially seem like one of those “must-have” baby products, but after learning more about it, I can absolutely understand why so many parents swear by having one on hand.
What really surprised me was learning that for the first few months of life, infants are primarily nose breathers.
Unless they physically cannot get enough airflow through their nose, they generally do not naturally switch to mouth breathing the way older children and adults do.
That means keeping those little nasal passages clear can actually make a huge difference when they are congested.
My Experience:
As I mentioned earlier, my experience with this vendor was honestly fantastic. It was educational, interactive, and oddly comforting all at the same time.
At their booth, they had the nasal aspirator set up alongside a baby doll for demonstrations. They even had homemade “mucus” they used to simulate congestion—which, by the way, looked disgustingly realistic.
From there, they allowed attendees to test the aspirator themselves by clearing the doll’s nose, which really helped demonstrate how gentle and easy the device was to use.
They also walked us through how to fully disassemble and clean the product because let’s be honest… anything involving baby boogies definitely needs to be easy to clean.
What I appreciated most, though, was how educational the entire demonstration felt.
Up until that point, I had no idea infants were primarily nose breathers. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and answered every question thrown at them with ease.
I also loved hearing that the aspirator was designed by pediatric professionals and built to hospital-grade standards, which added another level of reassurance for me.
What I Loved:
Hands-on demonstration that allowed me to test the product myself
Extremely knowledgeable vendor team
Walked away feeling like I genuinely learned something valuable
Easy-to-clean design
Appreciated the hospital-grade quality and thoughtful construction
What Could Be Better:
Honestly, my biggest hesitation was simply the price.
And to be fair, I completely understand that higher-quality materials and medical-grade construction likely contribute to the overall cost.
But as a first-time mom already spending money on what feels like a million different baby essentials, the $100 price tag definitely felt a little steep to me personally.
I also know I am probably not the only mom trying to balance quality with budget considerations—especially after already purchasing larger essentials like cribs, strollers, and car seats.
Cost:
Both at the event and on Amazon, you can get your hands on the Happy Breathing Nasal Aspirator for $100 USD.
Did I Purchase This Item?
Although I absolutely adored the demonstration and found the tool very helpful I did not end up purchasing the Happy Breathing Nasal Aspirator. I would be lying to you if I said I did not consider it, but my husband and I agreed that we wanted to look at other nasal aspirators as well before committing to the $100 purchase.
After looking around and reading a ton of reviews (huge review girly here!) we found that the Mom Cozy Electric Baby Nasal Aspirator had fantastic reviews and it was half the cost at just $50.
With over 700 ratings and 87% of them being 5 stars, we felt confident that this nasal aspirator could get the job done. Most of the users highlighted the adjustable suction levels, additional calming music and lights, and how easy it is to clean.
I will keep you all updated once our little one is here and we whip this bad boy out to give it a try!
Busy Baby Silicone Food Placemat

This was one of those products I honestly had not given much thought to before attending the NY Prego Expo.
When heading into the event, I definitely did not expect a food placemat to end up on my list of must-have baby products. After all, starting solids still feels so far away at this point, right?
But after meeting this vendor and learning more about the product, I quickly understood why so many parents love it.
Not only was the founder herself a mom, but I also learned she had appeared on one of my favorite shows—Shark Tank. Immediately, I was invested !
And once she started explaining the functionality behind the product, I became even more hooked.
What It Does:
The Busy Baby Silicone Mat makes meal time easy.
While I have yet to have my baby, I am no stranger to how messy mealtimes can be. Between helping my friends who already have kids and watching the countless videos shared on social media, I know that meal time can be stressful. More food ends up on the floor than in their mouths and then you spend half of your day tidying up.
Then there is the fact that not all food products are made equal. A lot of baby products are made with BPA containing plastics — not necessarily items you want your child sticking into their mouths.
That is where this product is different. The Busy Baby Silicone Mat is made from 100% food-grade silicone and is free from materials like BPA, BPS, PVC, phthalates, and lead.
Even better, the mat suctions directly onto high chairs and eating surfaces to help prevent babies from tossing bowls, spoons, and snacks onto the floor every five seconds.
Honestly? Genius.
And beyond simply helping reduce mess, the product is also designed to encourage self-feeding while supporting motor skill development and independent exploration during mealtime.
Ingredients:
The Amazon product description shares the following about what this amazing product is free from:
"Durable and Safe for Babies: Made from 100% food-grade silicone, free from BPA, BPS, PVC, Phthalates, and lead. Flexible, durable, safe for eating and chewing. Meets CPSC Safety Requirements."
My Experience:
I had such a positive experience with this vendor.
The founder was warm, personable, and incredibly informative. I also absolutely loved that her son was there helping at the booth—and honestly, he knew the product inside and out too.
There is just something really special about seeing a real-life mom identify a common parenting struggle and then create a thoughtful solution for it.
I also appreciated that the product was not only designed to help minimize mealtime messes, but also created with intentional materials and developmental benefits in mind — the past educator in me was screaming with joy.
As someone who naturally gravitates toward more holistic and thoughtfully designed baby products, this felt like a really great fit for our family.
What I Loved:
Hands-on display that allowed us to see and touch the product
Variety of colors and styles
Thoughtfully designed with food-grade silicone
Suction feature helps minimize messes
Encourages self-feeding and motor skill development
Created by a mom solving a real-life parenting challenge
What Could Be Better:
Honestly, I am drawing a blank here. I don't see much room for improvement. I loved the vendor, her story, and her product. I think it is a great idea. Perhaps once my little one is old enough to use it I will have more constructive feedback.
Cost:
You can find the Busy Baby Silicone Placemat on Amazon for $30 USD.
Not a bad deal considering all of the wonderful benefits that come with it!
Did I Purchase This Item?
Yes! My husband and I actually did purchase this item.
After learning more about the product and seeing how thoughtfully it was designed, we figured it was something we would likely end up wanting later anyway.
And honestly, I would much rather purchase products I genuinely trust ahead of time than forget about them once life gets busy with a newborn.
Although it will still be several months before our baby girl starts solids, we are really excited to test this product out when the time comes.
And of course, I will absolutely come back and share an updated review once we have officially put it to the test.
Products For Mom

Of course, the NY Prego Expo was not just filled with products for babies—there were also plenty of products designed specifically for moms.
One thing that actually surprised me, though, was the lack of maternity clothing vendors at the event because honestly, that was one category I was really hoping to shop.
That said, while there may not have been a huge selection of maternity-focused products overall, I did discover several postpartum and mom-centered brands that genuinely stood out to me.
And as with all the other categories throughout the expo, there were a few vendors in particular that immediately caught my attention because they aligned so naturally with my more holistic and intentional approach to motherhood.
The two brands below were ones that I felt truly understood moms’ needs while also creating products that felt thoughtful, supportive, and genuinely useful.
Nyssa Care

I will be completely honest—postpartum recovery is something I feel a little nervous about.
Beyond the natural nerves surrounding labor and birth itself, I think many women quietly wonder what healing afterward will actually look like.
Whether you have a vaginal birth or a C-section, your body goes through an incredible transformation during pregnancy and delivery, and recovery naturally takes time.
While our bodies are beautifully designed to heal, there are also products and tools that can make the postpartum experience feel more comfortable and supported along the way.
And if you are anything like me—a first-time mom trying to figure out what to realistically expect—then I genuinely think Nyssa Care is a brand worth looking into.
What It Does:
Nyssa truly feels like a company designed with women in mind.
Oftentimes, topics surrounding women’s health—especially postpartum recovery and period care—are not openly discussed nearly enough. In many spaces, those conversations still feel oddly taboo.
Thankfully, that conversation is slowly starting to change.
Nyssa openly embraces and supports women through these experiences by creating products specifically designed to make healing and self-care feel easier and more accessible.
According to their website, their goal is to eliminate the need for women to rely on uncomfortable DIY solutions or poorly designed products during vulnerable stages of life. They shared:
"Nyssa creates 'wear therapy' for women of all ages and women of all sizes and offers real-world postpartum wear therapy and period care solutions so women can easily care for themselves and one another."
My Experience:
I stumbled into this vendor during one of the educational talks at the event.
While I loved all the pregnancy and baby products that this event had to offer, Nyssa stood out to be because they tackled something I have been nervous about — postpartum recovery.
If you have spent any amount of time on pregnancy TikTok or Instagram lately, then you already know how overwhelming postpartum preparation can feel.
There are endless videos telling you:
what to buy
what you absolutely need
what recovery “really” looks like
And honestly? It can become a lot very quickly.
I found myself constantly trying to save videos, remember product names, and mentally prepare for everything ahead.
What I loved about Nyssa was that they simplified so much of that stress by offering thoughtfully curated postpartum recovery solutions all in one place.
The kit was called the Essential Postpartum Kit and it included so many of the things you would need during your recovery.
The kit included the following:
Cramp Stamp Instant Heat Patches (1 box)
Peri Bottle
Reusable Breast Ice & Heat Therapy Packs
The coolest thing about their underwear and bralette is that they come with pockets to hold these ice and heat packs with no issues. Here is what their website had to say about the underwear.
It comes with"a dual-layer, 360° pocket system designed to hold ice or heat therapy between the legs, at the c-section incision site, and across the lower back. The pocket is also designed to hold a pad on the inside — so you can manage postpartum bleeding and apply cold or heat therapy at the same time, completely hands-free."
What I Loved:
The postpartum kit simplified recovery preparation
Thoughtfully designed, hands-free healing support
Products focused specifically on women’s comfort and recovery
Offers additional period care and breastfeeding support products
OB-GYN recommended products
Brand feels genuinely focused on supporting women through every stage
What Could Be Better:
The biggest consideration for me was definitely the price point.
That said, I do think it is important to remember that the Essential Postpartum Kit includes a large number of products all bundled together.
Personally, I think if you were to purchase many of these recovery items separately, you would likely end up spending a very similar amount—if not more.
I also appreciated that most items can be purchased individually if you do not need the entire kit.
And honestly, my only other “complaint” had nothing to do with the company itself.
Similar to another vendor I mentioned earlier, their booth was positioned very close to the main presentation stage, which made conversations a little difficult at times because of the surrounding noise.
But aside from that, I genuinely loved both the brand and the overall concept behind their products.
Cost:
Cost varies depending on the item or package you select.
The Essential Postpartum Kit is $150.00 USD.
Did I Purchase This Item?
Yes—I absolutely purchased this product.
After learning everything included in the Essential Postpartum Kit, I honestly felt like it would help bring me a little peace of mind heading into postpartum recovery.
I ended up choosing the mocha-colored version because I thought the neutral tone would hide more easily underneath clothing.
And overall, I just loved the idea of having thoughtful recovery products prepared ahead of time instead of scrambling to figure everything out afterward.
Puure

This vendor honestly made my entire day—and that is simply because I had been searching for a product like this for what felt like forever.
The more I started researching ingredient transparency, fabrics, and materials used in everyday products, the more I realized how difficult it can be to find clothing made with simpler, more intentional materials.
And since our skin is our body’s largest organ, I personally started becoming more mindful about the fabrics I wear daily—especially in more sensitive areas.
The problem?
A lot of “clean” clothing brands tend to sacrifice style along the way.
So I decided to start small and focus first on finding better-quality undergarments made with organic cotton.
Turns out… that was much harder than I expected.
So when I stumbled upon Puure at the expo, I was genuinely ecstatic.
What It Does:
Puure offers what so many other companies do not, undergarments for women that are actually free of toxins. They offer certifiable organic cotton underwear and bras. Not only are they good for your skin, but they look cute too — a feat I told you most other companies fail to meet.
The brand does not hold back on educating women about their health and how their choices in clothing may affect them. On their website, they have an informational blog that details a lot of this information. Here is one excerpt that they share on their website. I warn you it is a little staggering, but it is important.
"Many conventional underwear brands contain toxic chemicals like pesticides, formaldehyde, synthetic dyes, and forever chemical that are linked to reproductive health issues such as hormone imbalances, infertility, and cancer."
Ingredients:
I ended up purchasing several pairs of underwear along with a couple of bralettes from PUURE.
According to the product descriptions, both the underwear and bralettes are made from:
95% GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton
5% Spandex
My Experience:
Honestly, I was incredibly excited to finally find a brand focused specifically on organic cotton undergarments that also felt modern and thoughtfully designed.
The products felt soft, high quality, and intentionally made.
As someone who values more holistic and wellness-focused products, I appreciated finding a company that aligned so naturally with those values while still offering styles that felt cute and wearable.
What I Loved:
All of the clothing at PUURE is:
Certified organic cotton
Non-toxic
Third-party tested
Comfortable and thoughtfully designed
What Could Be Better:
My only real struggle with the brand was sizing—particularly while shopping during pregnancy.
At the time of purchase, I was around five months pregnant, and my body was changing in ways I had never experienced before. I genuinely had no idea what bra size I currently needed or what size I might eventually need postpartum.
I intentionally sized up in the bralette… and let me tell you, it still was not enough.
That said, I actually think this had far more to do with my own uncertainty surrounding pregnancy sizing than the brand itself.
I am confident the bralette will likely fit much better once my body settles postpartum or after breastfeeding.
The underwear, however, fit exactly as expected and felt incredibly comfortable.
So if I had one recommendation for fellow moms-to-be, it would simply be:If you are purchasing bralettes during pregnancy or for postpartum recovery, consider sizing up more than you think you need.
Cost:
Organic Cotton Wireless Scoop Bralette was $35.00 USD
Organic Cotton Low Rise Bikini Underwear OR High Rise Leg Brief were $17.00 USD (for a single panty).
For a 3-pack of the Low Rise Bikini or High Rise Leg Brief it was $45.00 USD.
Did I Purchase This Item?
Yes—I absolutely purchased products from this vendor.
As I mentioned earlier, finding organic cotton undergarments that felt both intentional and stylish had genuinely been difficult for me, so I was excited to finally discover a brand like this.
I ended up purchasing:
Two pairs of the High Rise Leg Brief Underwear
One pair of the Low Rise Bikini Underwear
At this stage of pregnancy, I have honestly been loving the extra support from the high-rise style.
I also purchased one of the bralettes, though I will likely need to revisit that review later once my body settles a bit more postpartum since the sizing did not work perfectly for me during pregnancy.
My Overall Experience At The NY Prego Expo

Looking back, attending the NY Prego Expo was honestly such a valuable experience for me as a first-time mom.
Not only did it introduce me to so many pregnancy and baby products I had never heard of before, but it also gave me the opportunity to speak directly with parents, founders, and professionals who are genuinely passionate about supporting families through pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.
While the event itself could definitely feel overwhelming at times (seriously… there were SO many vendors), I walked away feeling far more informed, inspired, and prepared for this next chapter of life.
I also loved discovering brands that aligned with my personal values surrounding intentional living, cleaner ingredients, thoughtful design, and practical motherhood solutions.
If you are currently pregnant, building your registry, or simply trying to figure out what products are actually worth looking into, I truly hope this post helped make that process feel a little less overwhelming.
And of course, this is only the beginning. As I continue navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood myself, I fully plan to come back and update many of these reviews once I have real-life experience using the products with our baby girl.
